“How good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters live together in unity!” Psalm 133
Growing in faith matures us and brings satisfaction, contentment, and joy into our lives as Christians. A steward is one who owns nothing, but is responsible for everything that God puts in his or her hands. We belong to God by virtue of the fact that he made us and redeemed us with his blood. Operations consist of the following departments:
- HOSTS
- Facilities Management
- Security
- Food Services
- Office Administration
Effective ministry can only be accomplished when we are organized. Planning is the key element. We work in partnership with Program Managers by planning ahead of time what needs to be done, how it is to be done, and the resources needed to get things done. It is our responsibility to ensure that the resources available to the church are used effectively in order to fulfill the purpose of the church.
HOSTS Ministry (Ushers and Greeters)
The purpose of the HOSTS Ministry is to serve as welcome and service agents to visitors and members of the Ray of Hope. This ministry enhances the positive perception of the Ray by greeting each person with the love of Christ and welcoming them into the church family.
If you possess the gifts of hospitality, caring, compassion, kindness, and a genuine smile, then this is the place for you. Come and be a part of a ministry that offers opportunities for greeting and welcoming the people of God each time the church gathers.
Facilities Management
Facilities Management is responsible for providing continual care of the house of God and maintenance of the grounds. Facilities Management is also responsible for providing a clean and comfortable setting, where members and visitors can worship without distraction. In our service to God, we believe that through continuous, routine maintenance, we will keep God’s House in a condition that is pleasing to Him and to those who attend the church.
The Facilities Management department is comprised of the Facilities Manager and a Maintenance Mechanic. Together they provide support to all ministries of the church and to persons who rent our facilities. This support is provided through scheduling room assignments and set up, transportation, and security services.
Security Ministry
This ministry provides gatekeepers and watchpersons to assist members and guests during Ray of Hope services and events. The Security Ministry is here to provide a safe and secure environment at all times. Various ministry opportunities are available. You can get additional information at ext. 232.

For those with the gift of cooking and hospitality, it is an opportunity to display your culinary skills, along with the gift of serving, to ensure the success of ministry events. Serving in this ministry requires a deep commitment and a heart to serve others.
The Word reminds us in I Peter 4:8-10 that “above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift we have received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in various forms.”
