Welcome to the Ray of Hope New Members Experience!
We are delighted that you have chosen to become part of the Ray of Hope family! Our New Members Experience is designed to help you become spiritually grounded, relationally connected, and fully equipped to grow and serve in this community of believers.
On Ramp: Your First Step into Community & Faith Formation
On-Ramp is our 8-week foundational discipleship and orientation journey for new members—and for anyone who wants to grow in the essentials of Christian faith.
In this interactive experience, you will:
- Learn the foundations of Christian Faith
- Grow in biblical literacy and spiritual disciplines
- Discover the history, mission, and vision of Ray of Hope
- Explore our denomination—the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
- Build relationships with fellow members and ministry leaders
- Discern your gifts and how you can serve in the Kingdom.
On-Ramp is open to all—new members and returning members—who desire to grow deeper in faith and Christian community.

New Member Meet & Greet (festive graphics, picture of Pastor Hale meeting other members, (Image or Images of previous New Member Meet and Greets with Pastor Hale, Leadership & New Members, or people fellowshipping in a church setting over food and activities)
As part of the New Members Experience, we invite you to our New Member Meet & Greet—a warm, celebratory gathering where new members can meet and fellowship with Pastor Cynthia L. Hale, ministry leaders, and fellow new members.
This joyful gathering includes:
- Fun ice-breaker activities & games
- Shared stories & testimonies
- Welcome gifts
- Fellowship meal & connection time
- Introduction to serving and ministry opportunities
